Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares have successfully qualified for the ATP Finals at the end of the year set to take place at London’s O2 Arena. It will be the third straight year that the pair have competed together at the season-ending tournament.

Whilst they lost in the final of the Shanghai Masters 1000 event yesterday, they had already booked their spot at the O2 by reaching the semi-finals a few days earlier. Some great tournament wins across the season including Acapulco, Washington and their first ATP 1000 in Cincinnati made sure they were the third doubles pair to secure their spot in the Race To London.

For the past two seasons Murray and Soares have reached the semi-finals at the O2, but it has been a trophy that has always eluded them. They will be looking to change that this year.

Xu Yifan with partner Gabriela Dabrowski also qualified for the WTA Finals in Singapore. This is the second time the pair will be playing in the event having made the cut the last year.

It has been a strong season for the two players as they were crowned champions in Sydney and Eastbourne, while also reaching the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
