Jamie Murray and Bruno Soaras successfully defended their Abierto Mexicano title in Acapulco, Mexico. The win earned Murray his 20th ATP World Tour title and 350th match win.

Murray and his Brazilian partner were third seeds in the ATP 500 draw, but sailed to victory without dropping a set. In the final, they faced the ever-dangerous, fourth-seeded Bryan Brothers. But Murray and Soaras claimed the trophy with an impressive 7-6(4), 7-5 victory.

It’s been 11 years since Murray claimed his first title, going on to win 19 more titles, including 5 Grand Slams with 5 other players. Murray’s claimed 7 of his titles with Soaras, making this his most successful partnership.

Murray and Soaras started the 2018 season by reaching the final of the Qatar Open. The pair are looking to carry their form into the rest of the season.
